Hosted by the University of Antwerp and technically sponsored by the ACM, GoodIT 2025 will bring together a vibrant, multidisciplinary community of researchers, practitioners, and thought leaders who are advancing technology in service of society.
The conference is grounded in the belief that computing and digital innovation should be used not only to push technical boundaries, but to actively improve people’s lives and promote sustainable, equitable, and ethical futures. Building on the success of previous editions, GoodIT 2025 will feature an inspiring programme of peer-reviewed papers, keynotes, and interactive sessions, all dedicated to the design, development, and application of information technologies for the social good.
What to Expect
This year’s Call for Papers invites submissions across a wide range of topics, including but not limited to digital inclusion, e-health, sustainable computing, civic engagement platforms, data ethics, AI for good, smart environments, education technologies, and responsible ICT innovation. We also encourage contributions that adopt interdisciplinary approaches, drawing on fields such as law, social sciences, urban studies, or the humanities to examine the role of technology in society.
In addition, GoodIT 2025 offers a rich variety of Special Tracks, each focusing on targeted areas of societal relevance—from green networking and AI transparency, to ICT for mental health, inclusive design, digital heritage, and technologies for climate resilience. These tracks provide a unique opportunity to dive deeper into focused communities of research and practice within the broader GoodIT mission.
